COUNSELLING
How I work
I'm trained in integrative counselling which means I offer different approaches depending on every client's needs.
At the core of any approach, though, is the counselling relationship - between the therapist and the client. In our relationship I will be kind, open and genuine. I will listen to you with empathy and without judgement in a safe, confidential environment.
I see clients for many different reasons including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, indecision, relationship issues, work-based worries or just a general feeling of dissatisfaction. I provide the least number of sessions rather than prolonging therapy.
My aim is for you to be able to manage future problems based on our work.
I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework
What is counselling?
Therapy isn't just talking. It's about transformation. A good therapist will help you access your emotional strength and gather insight into your thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
Counselling provides a safe space to explore and heal from past traumas or current emotional distress. You'll learn tools and techniques to manage life’s challenges more effectively. Greater insights lead to better decision-making and self-improvement, and with more self-knowledge, you'll have healthier interactions with others.
Free consultation
I offer a free 30 minute consultation by phone or online. This gives me the chance to see if and how I might be able to help you and it gives you the opportunity to decide whether you want to work with me.
